Grand Hall - Artist Application - stART at the Station 2018

Artist Application Checklist

  1. Submit Application Form before September 16th.
  2. Use Paypal link on the next page or Send check or money order made out to stART on the Street to: stART on the Street 2018, PO Box 20161, Worcester, MA 01602 and include your application ID#. This check/money order should only be for the $10 Application Fee. 
  3. Checks must be received or postmarked by September 16th.  Applications and payments received after September 16th will not be considered.
  4. Your application will not be considered for jurying until your application fee is received.
  5. If you are sharing a space both artists must submit an application and application fee. Both artists are subject to jurying in their respective mediums.  Sharing a booth does not automatically ensure both artists will be accepted.

General Guidelines

  • You will not be juried for the show unless your application fee is received.
  • stART at the Station is a juried event with approximately 100 Grand Hall artist spaces. There is a predetermined number of spaces are allotted for each medium represented.
  • All spaces are 7ft wide X 5ft deep, which is ample room for ONE standard 6' x 2.5' banquet table. You MUST fit all your displays and items within the space provided
  • Electricity is not provided
  • You may not apply to occupy two spaces
  • 2 artists may apply to share one space; each must submit a separate application and $10 application fee. If both are accepted only one check for the space fee is required. If one of the artists sharing a space is not accepted the remaining artist may occupy the space alone.
  • Notification of acceptance as a vendor at stART at the Station 2018 will be sent via email on or by October 1st. Upon acceptance, your space fee, corner fee and table fee (if applicable) will be due by the date provided in the acceptance email. 
  • The organizers reserve the right to decline any application. Due to the sheer volume of applicants, organizers will not provide explanations as to why any artists were not accepted.
  • All arts and crafts for sale must be handmade by the artist, who must be present selling their items at the event. No mass produced items will be accepted.
  • No imported items/no straight vintage or antiques! No co-op spaces with more than two artists represented will be allowed.
  • In the case of severe weather, the organizers will cancel the event. This is an indoor event and will only be canceled due to a blizzard or other extreme conditions. Artists may apply 100% of their space fees to future stART on the Street events, or receive a 50% refund of the space fee.
  • Refunds for cancelations will not be given for this event. No exceptions. No refunds given for application fees

DEADLINE to apply is September 23rd. All applications must go through our website, no paper applications will be accepted. Application fee must be postmarked by September 23rd in order to quality for jurying. Please remember this is a juried show with a gift giving theme.

Sunday, December 2nd, 9am-5pm {stART shopping without the crowds 9:00-11am with paid admission, admission free starting at 11am}

The Grand Hall is the main room of Union Station, which will consist of 100 artist & crafters.

Grand Hall spaces are 7ft wide x 5ft deep and cost(s) are as follows:

Application Fee - $10, must be received by September 23rd to be entered for jurying. Application fees not postmarked on or before September 23rd will returned and you will not be eligible for this event.

Space fee - $140 - Do not send until event acceptance is confirmed. {Acceptance/denial of applications to go out by October 1, 2018}

Corner Lottery - $40. Do not send until notified that you'll have a corner space. With limited room at Union Station every little bit counts, enter the corner lottery! Corner winners will be notified by November 7th, the additional $40 fee will be due by November 14th.

A 6' table and 2 chairs may be rented for an additional $20. Deadline to rent a table and chairs is November 25th, 2018. 

Jurying Criteria

Applicants will be juried based on the following:

  • Jurying will be done only using the 3 images uploaded with your application. Do not submit full tables or setup photos, these will not be used for jurying.  Your website will not be used for consideration.
  • All items must be handmade by the artist and not mass-produced. The event will be marketed as a unique gift show, which means we want to see what makes your work unique.
  • The artists selected for the categories of beaded jewelry and textiles will be limited to very unique items. Keep in mind if you apply for this event, we are limited by the size of the venue. More than 200 artists will apply for 100 available spaces.
  • Past participation in stART events does not guarantee participation in the 2018 show.

With space tight in the Grand Hall a corner space really helps open up your area. Take part in the lottery and if you win, a corner space is an additional $40.
