Our local chapter focuses on NOW's six core issues to promote intersectional solutions to the problems faced by women.
Worcester NOW meets monthly to discuss and act on local, state, and national current and long-standing issues and problems faced by women, including but not limited to reproductive rights, freedom, and justice, LGBTQ rights, ending violence against women, equal pay for equal work, racial justice, and constitutional equality amendment (ERA ratification). Worcester NOW partners with similarly-minded groups on these common goals with actions such as letter writing campaigns, educational events, stand-outs, forums with legislators and local heads of organizations, films showings and panel discussions, and phone banking and canvassing. Local groups Worcester NOW partners with include: Planned Parenthood, YWCA of Central Massachusetts, League of Women Voters, Jane Fund, ACLU, MNA, and others.
