Artist Statement

My work is inspired by my awe of the beauty and order of our universe, which I believe only the creator God can provide. Each piece I create brings me to a new sense of wonderment. It gives me a longing to examine the Creator and His universe—and to draw from my observances to create even more art.
As every person is unique, so is each one of my pieces. In my work, I develop intricate details—details as complex as the DNA in every living being—so that every time I look at my work, I see a “fresh look.”
Working with watercolor markers, pen and ink on watercolor paper to create vibrant, bold, colorful and lively representations of a Master’s handiwork, I endeavor to make each stroke represent our connection to one another as human beings, to other living creatures and to a Creator who reveals Himself to all through His acts of ordered existence.
