Real Butterfly Wing Jewelry, Fused Glass Jewelry & Everything Fabulous I am a sculptor by degree, and Ive been playing with glass for several years, mostly fusing in a kiln. I've taught myself with the help of the Etsy Glass Artist team and a few books. I love that it transforms itself from a solid to near-liquid and back to a solid piece of wearable art that will last forever. Glass enables me to use my love of color in a million different ways. I've also been making original butterfly wing jewelry for just as long, and always trying to come up with new ways to show off their colorful beauty. About my butterfly jewelry: I use butterfly wings that were raised for conservation and public education in a butterfly conservatory. Once they naturally expire, they are collected and I make jewelry to preserve them. Some butterflies live for only 1-2 weeks, some (like monarchs) can live up to 6-9 months if not actively breeding. Butterfly wing jewelry has been around for hundreds of years, and I hope to give you heirloom pieces to enjoy as well.
