Harmony Thompson

I am a potter, ceramic artist and teacher. My pottery is made with a mid range stoneware/porcelain mix clay as well as mid range red stoneware. I make dinner sets, flower pots, vases, mugs and cups, and occasional teapots, pitchers and saki sets. In addition to functional pottery, I make unique ceramic jewelry including belt buckles, bracelets, and pendants. I have also done a few tile mosaic projects for individuals and in schools. My work reflects my experiences, ideas and sense of beauty. It is very important to me that my work is used, the interaction that an individual has with a piece of pottery or jewelry is integral to my making functional work. My work often includes imagery: scenes from my surroundings, geometric and organic designs, flowers, anatomical drawings, figures, etc. These designs in combination with the form and glaze make the piece work. I hope to see you at the festival!Buy work on line at: http://www.harmonyarts.etsy.comCheck out my blogspot at: http://harmonyarts.blogspot.comSee more of my work at: http://risd.digication.com/harmonyarts
