Hi everyone my name is Jeannie Cappiello and I would like to share a little bit about myself, so you can understand the depth of the love and passion that I feel from all my God inspired creations which come from my heart and soul.
Well I am a 54 year young woman. From the time I was a young teenager I never knew what I was looking for in life, for me it was a struggle. As a young single mother, I took care of my beautiful daughter Renee and I loved it. In my thirties I felt like a lost soul. My daughter was a young adult and I didn’t know what to do, so I went back to school for a degree in Graphic Design. It was interesting and fun at times. I did freelance work for about ten years but I still didn't feel complete. When I was studying for Graphic Design I met a couple of woman who were taking Art Classes and oh yes I wanted to be like them, but I felt that I couldn’t possibly do it I wouldn’t know where to begin. I enjoyed my previous jobs bartending, waitressing and sales but I new it wasn't right, there was something more to me I just couldn’t pin point what was missing until I attended an Expo on the North Shore in 2007. At the Expo I met an Artist named Anne Deidre Smith of Inner Visions Gallery in Manchester NH who spoke at a lecture about her art work.” Anne inspired me with her words and her art. I new at that point I had to take a leap of faith and walk through my fears...soon after I started painting and I love it! I realized that during these years when I dreamed of painting I thought I had to paint something I saw such as an ocean view or an object etc. After meeting Anne I realized I just had to paint what I feel and the fear was lifted.

I work from my home studio in Lynn. I also design and create fashion jewelry, such as earrings, necklaces and bracelets. I finally found my Passion in life and the irony of this is that when I grew up in Somerville MA I lived on Albion Street and every summer the counselors at Albion Park (at the corner of my street) had a variety of activities and crafts. Guess what!!! You got it... my favorite activities were making jewelry and painting the pieces of jewelry that I made...It was there all the time, right in front of me. It was hidden within me all those years.

This is what I would like to pass on to everyone who is stuck in a place as I was for most of my adult years, try to remember what it was you loved as a child and live your passion.

My paintings are based entirely on what I am feeling at the time and range from passion to passive. People have told me that some of my watercolors should be on items such as tissue boxes and greeting cards. I have created an eclectic collection of art using Water Colors, Acrylics and Line Art. I have been told my art brings a message of Love, Passion, Whimsy, Dreams and more.
