Sara Longworth

Sara Longworth is a torn paper collage artist, fiber artist and crafter from Worcester, MA. Sara makes torn paper collage artwork, created in a style reminiscent of the Japanese technique of "chigirie" (torn paper collage). Subjects include landscapes and florals. Originals, limited edition prints and open edition notecards will be available for purchase at this year's StART on the Street as well as original torn paper collage pendants. As a fiber artist, Sara makes nuno scarves and felted soaps. The scarves are handmade from silk chiffon and merino wool. The wool is wet felted into the silk chiffon, binding the two materials together to create a unique, lightweight, soft and luxurious scarf. Merino wool is also wrapped around bars of artisan made soaps and then felted into place to create a unique bath item that is a soap and scrubby in one. Sara also makes a variety of other crafts in various media including ornaments, hair accessories, aprons and home decor. Many of these items will also be available for purchase at Sara's booth at this year's StART on the Street. See you there!
